Eligibility Criteria

School students from Grade 6 to Grade 10 are allowed to participate in this Skillathon.

Theme & Problem Statement

Themes :

1. The Indian culture varies by its vast geography. People speak in different languages, dress
differently, follow different religions, eat different food but are of the same temperament. So
whether it is a joyous occasion or a moment of grief, people participate wholeheartedly,
feeling happiness or pain. A festival or a celebration is never constrained to a family or a
home. The whole community or neighborhood is involved in bringing liveliness to an
occasion. Likewise, an Indian wedding is a celebration of union, not only of the bride and
groom but also of two families, maybe cultures or religion too! Similarly, in times of sorrow,
neighbors and friends play an essential part in easing grief.

Problem Statement

Design a web page depicting the rich Indian Culture. Choose some Indian cultures and display
pictures related to that particular culture, and add some description.

2. “The World Bank Group considers corruption a major challenge to its twin goals of
ending extreme poverty by 2030 and boosting shared prosperity for the poorest 40
percent of people in developing countries.”
In order to reduce corruption in India, a group of young entrepreneurs took the initiative and
decided to spread awareness and make people aware of corruption.
They started an organization named Corruption Free India (CFI).

Problem Statement

Design a website depicting the corruption incidents and methods to solve this issue. Use your
innovation and skills to solve this issue.

3. “ Agriculture remains the primary livelihood of most families in rural areas and suburban
areas worldwide. Agricultural business is all about the production and marketing of
agricultural commodities through farming.”
Aditiya Tiwari and Arjun Gupta started a company named ABC in 2020 in order to help small
farmers. They provide technical assistance, seeds, pesticides, and other farming tools at an
affordable rate.

Problem Statement

Design a web page addressing this issue. Moreover, design the website so that small farmers or
business people can generate income. (Hints: you can build a marketplace for them)

4. Design a website for NGO

What to make in website :

One example is explained, make similar types of websites in other themes. Note: This is just a
suggestion from our side you may and may not consider.

Design a web page depicting the rich Indian Culture. Choose some Indian cultures and display
pictures related to that particular culture, and add some description.

It should contain a home page and can have different pages, each related to a single culture.

On each page, Have a navbar that will contain all the cultures selected (preferably like a
drop-down menu) along with contact and about us buttons which must redirect to those
corresponding pages.

For styling, use anything which was taught (like bootstrap), and the website’s layout is ultimately
your own choice.
