Themes

The hackathon is bifurcated into:

 

Grade 8-10

 

Theme 1: Life Under Water

Project: Build a coding project on conserving and sustainably using the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable developement. This is one of the goals for Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

 

Theme 2: Wildfires

Project: Build a coding project to illustrate how wildfires harm nature by damaging ecosystems. This is one of the goals for Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

 

You may build a game, animation, app, or website on any one of the themes listed above.


Platform: Scratch, HTML, Java, Python

 

Grade 11-12

 

Theme 1: Life on Land

Project: Create a coding project that helps take care of land, forests, and wildlife to make sure they stay healthy and don't get damaged. This is one of the goals for Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

 

Theme 2: Metropolitan Pollution

Project: Build a coding project that works to make cities cleaner by making the air better to breathe. This is one of the goals for Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

 

You may build a game, animation, app, or website on any one of the themes listed above.

Our judges will be looking for projects that demonstrate

  • creativity, and
  • the ability to solve problems effectively.

How to register for the hackathon?

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is a coding event where interested people from all over the world can participate in fun coding competitions and bring their amazing ideas to life. It is an opportunity to collaborate with others, learn new technologies, and build innovative projects within a limited time frame. Hackathons often foster a supportive and creative environment, encouraging participants to think outside the box and push their boundaries.

Why do I need to register using a mobile number?
You are required to register via a mobile number as it is the primary source of identification for registration and project submission.
 

Is it an individual competition?
Yes.

 

Can an I submit a project late?
Unfortunately, we do not accept any late project submissions. You must submit your project within the project submission deadline.

 

What is the date of the result announcement?

The result will be announced on July 1st, 2024.

 

Is this competition online?
Yes, this competition is 100% online. The participant can work on their project at any place and time as long as they have access to a computer/laptop and an internet connection.

 

How much does it cost to enter into this competition?
There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.

 

What if I forget my registered mobile number while submitting the project?
In case, you forget your registered mobile number, you will have to re-register for the competition before submitting the project.

 

What if I entered the wrong information in one of the form fields while submitting my project?
If you have entered any wrong information in one of the form fields, kindly resubmit the project. Your latest submission will be considered for evaluation.

 

Will an older project be considered for evaluation?
No, any old or previous project will not be considered for evaluation.

 

Can I submit more than one project?
No. You can submit only one project per competition.

I never thought I would have such a bad experience in my first international competition. We were not late in submitting the project but why is the result so late? After some time I check with a lot of hope that maybe the result has been released but why am I repeatedly proven wrong? I think I am not alone everyone is having this happen
