Overview

BGS National Public School, Bangalore in collaboration with Codingal is conducting "App Development Competition" for Grade 4 to Grade 9 Students. This competition is only for BGS National Public School, Bangalore Students

 

It is a coding competition to help students begin their coding journey and showcase their coding talent. The students would be required to participate individually.

 

Project: Students will have to develop an innovative app using any block-based application

 

Important Date: Project Submission ends on March 15, 2021

Prizes

 

Top 3 Winners will receive BGS National Public School-Codingal certificate

 

Top 3 Winners will also receive merchandise from Codingal

 

The winner will get a 30% discount on Coding courses including Robotics from Codingal

 

1st Runner will get a 25% discount on Coding courses including Robotics from Codingal

 

2nd Runner Up will get a 20% discount on Coding courses including Robotics from Codingal

 

10% discount on Coding courses including Robotics from Codingal for project submission

Registration Guideline

 

There is a 2-level registration for the competition.

Mobile Number Verification

  1. When you click on the "Register Now" button, you will have to input your mobile number. (This will be the primary source of identification while submitting the projects)
  2. Verify your mobile number through the OTP received.

Project Submission Guideline

 

Go to the BGS National Public School App Development Competition Link

 

Click "Register Now"

 

Click "Register Now" on the competition page

 

Enter your registered mobile number.*

 

Enter 6 digits OTP number

 

For registered kids " Register now" button will turn to the "Submit Project" button.

 

Click "Submit Project"

 

Fill or Upload the following information for Project Submission

 

  1. Project Name*
  2. Development Platform*
  3. Project File (apk file)
  4. Project Link
  5. Project Description*
  6. Upload zip file of screenshots/images of the app (should not be more than 50 MB)
  7. Upload zip file of screenshots/images of source code (should not be more than 50 MB)

 

*These are mandatory fields to fill or upload

Gautam Prasad is a Computer Science Engineer (M. Tech from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago USA) currently working as an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM, Full stack cloud having around 15 years of work experience in the IT industry.

  1. Why do I need to register using a mobile number?
    Mobile number is the primary identification source when you enter the competition and would like to submit the project towards the same
     
  2. Is this competition online?
    Yes, this competition is 100% online. The contestant can work on their project at any place and time as long as they have access to a computer/laptop and an internet connection.
     
  3. How much does it cost to enter into this competition?
    There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.
     
  4. Can I submit projects late?
    Unfortunately, we do not accept any late projects. All projects must be submitted by the project submission deadline.
     
  5. What if I forget my registered mobile number while submitting the project?
    In case, you forget your registered mobile number, you will have to re-register for the competition before submitting the project
     
  6. Can I resubmit my project?
    Yes. You can resubmit your project.
     
  7. Will the old project consider for evaluation?
    No, any old or previous project will not be considered for evaluation.
     
  8. Can I submit more than one project?
    No. You can submit only one project per competition.
