Overview

IIT Bombay E Summit’21 in association with Codingal is conducting I-Hack Junior Open Coding Challenge for Grade 6 to Grade 12 students. 

 

Theme

In this Open Coding Challenge, students can develop an app or a website to solve a problem they want to resolve.

 

Prizes

  • Top 3 Winners from each level will be awarded a certificate from IIT Bombay E-Cell 

 

  • Merchandise from IIT Bombay E-Cell and Codingal worth Rs. 25000 among the Winners

 

  • "Certificate of Recognition" from IIT Bombay E-Cell for all those who submit their projects

 

 

Format

 

The competition is divided into levels -

  • Middle (Grade 6 - Grade 9)
  • Senior (Grade 10 - Grade 12)

There is a 2-level registration for the competition.

Mobile Number Verification

  1. When you click on the "Register Now" button, you will have to input your mobile number. (This will be the primary source of identification while submitting the projects)
  2. Verify your mobile number through the OTP received.

Enter your registered mobile number.*

 

Enter 6 digits OTP number

 

For registered kids " Register now" button will turn to "Submit Project" button.

Archie Agrawal: She is a Product Lead at Amazon working in human-in-the-loop machine learning for user-generated content moderation. She brings strong product management experience in building consumer and enterprise products. She leads cross-functional teams, drives product strategy and vision, and demonstrates thought leadership in understanding markets, business, and customer needs.

 

 

Upendra Singh: He is a Computer Science Engineer from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, currently working as Senior Manager (AI/ML) for an E-Commerce firm FirstCry. He has 10+ of experience in working with different domains like E-commerce, E-Travel, Telecom, Mobile/Web Applications, Loyalty Program, CRM & Customer Insights, Data Analytics & Visualisation, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning.

FAQs

  1. Why do I need to register using mobile number?
    Mobile number is the primary identification source when you enter the competition and would like to submit the project towards the same
     
  2. Is this competition online?
    Yes, this competition is 100% online. The contestant can work on their project at any place and time as long as they have access to a computer/laptop and an internet connection.
     
  3. How much does it cost to enter into this Open Challenge?
    There is no registration fee to participate in the competition.
     
  4. Can I submit projects late?
    Unfortunately, we do not accept any late projects. All projects must be submitted by the project submission deadline.
     
  5. What if I forget my registered mobile number while submitting the project?
    In case, you forget your registered mobile number, you will have to re-register for the competition before submitting the project
     
  6. I have entered the wrong information in one of the form fields while submitting my project.
    If you have entered the wrong information in one of the form fields, refresh the page before clicking on the "Submit Project" button at the bottom of the form
     
  7. Will the old project consider for evaluation?
    No, any old or previous project will not be considered for evaluation. Your project should not be on any app play store.
     
  8. Can I submit more than one project?
    No. You can submit only one project per competition.
