3-D Shapes: Recognising and Naming

Students recognise and name cuboids (including cubes), pyramids, spheres, cylinders and cones in different orientations — and learn that a shape's name survives turning (RTP 1G–1) — through feely bags, shape hunts and junk-modelling sorts. 3-D first: children handle solids before drawings.
